A Detour into Darkness and the Path Back To Light | The Follow Up - Faith Journeys | Week Four
Welcome back to The Follow Up! Join Jack Guerra, Jeff Lederer and Carrie Vajko as we trek further on our journey of faith. This week, we continue exploring the story of Abram though a discussion on "the messy middle". Even as God establishes His covenant and has anointed Abram, who he renames Abraham, to be the father of His people, Abraham still takes actions that our contrary to God's plan. He still allows his own insecurities to conflict with the faith in God's promises, and seeks his own way. We also discuss Sodom and Gomorrah and the dangers of surrounding yourself with people who can corrupt and lead astray. Even these Biblical figures who are viewed as models of faith falter and let their eyes shift to the world, and there are repercussions, but God stays true to His promise and we can know that as long as we remain committed to Him, He can use us for His glory and good.
